Fullstack Developer

About the role
We are looking for a Fullstack Developer to strengthen our team in Rotterdam. You will work on websites and digital platforms for clients in the maritime and logistics sector. From concept to launch, you turn designs into fast, responsive, and user-friendly websites, while also building and maintaining backend functionality. Most of our projects are built in WordPress, so your expertise with this CMS is key.
You will be expected to work independently, while also collaborating with our team to support client goals. We value ownership. You will have the freedom and responsibility to take full charge of your projects and see them through from concept to completion.
Key responsibilities
- Develop and maintain websites, mainly in WordPress
- Translate designs and wireframes into clean, efficient code (HTML, CSS, JavaScript)
- Build and optimize backend functionalities using PHP and MySQL
- Integrate plugins, APIs, and custom functionalities
- Optimize websites for speed, SEO, and accessibility
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues
- Support ongoing updates, improvements, and security checks
- Collaborate closely with designers, developers, and content marketers
What we are looking for?
- 3–5 years of experience in fullstack development
- Solid skills in HTML, CSS, JavaScript and MySQL
- Proven experience with WordPress (themes, plugins, custom post types)
- Knowledge of PHP and MySQL is a plus
- Experience with Git and modern development workflows
- Eye for detail, usability, and clean code
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
- Fluent in Dutch and English
