“How can we attract young sailors and shippers and encourage them to join our crew?”

Our approach

Reaching youngsters requires a different and fresh approach. We had to step into a young person’s shoes and develop a design that would attract the attention of potential crewmembers.

Show is the new tell. Therefore, we stepped on board of many push barges to meet the crew. We shot pictures and videos that showcase the pride of their team. In combination with catchy phrases in cool fonts, we created a website that attracts young sailors and shippers to be.

Results

With a visually attractive website and a distinctive communication concept, Rederij de Jong can now stand out in a competitive market. Phrases like ‘a gym on board’ and ‘a pirate salary’ were particularly liked by youngsters.

As a result of an integrated campaign on social media platforms, Rederij de Jong received dozens of applicants and welcomed numerous colleagues to their team.
